Maya Walker

Maya Walker is a Dean’s List Behavioral Neuroscience Major with Spanish and Health Studies minors who has maintained a 3.8 GPA while being part of championship-winning volleyball teams at Fairfield University. She has been key to her Division I volleyball team winning four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season championships and three MAAC tournament championships. Her team earned NCAA tournament berths with each of those three wins. She was co-captain her junior and senior years.

From childhood her interests were varied: she studied dance, voice, and piano. She was on t-ball, swim and soccer teams, and she participated in student government and Girl Scouts. In Girl Scouts she earned her Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. In high school she was student body co-president and earned her International Baccalaureate diploma in addition to her high school diploma. Maya plans to be a doctor, researcher and educator in the field of women’s health. 

Maya lives a life of setting and getting stretch goals.
